Who We Are

The League exists to:

• To form a bond of union between past and present members of the RVI nursing staff.   
• To keep members informed of developments at the Infirmary
• To promote professional interest.

The League is run by a committee of volunteer members who meet at least twice a year, with a Financial Sub-Committee meeting at least once a year. There are 10 elected members of the Committee, and 2 co-opted members.

The League holds an Annual General Meeting on the first Saturday of October, which is open to all members. In addition to the business of the League, the AGM always includes a presentation by a speaker of interest to the group, and there is also ample opportunity for Members to socialise over light refreshments. Members also each receive a copy of the Nurses' League Magazine, which helps members to be kept up to date about friends and colleagues, and the RVI today. It also provides an opportunity for sharing stories and recollections of times spent at the RVI.  Members can also have access to a dedicated FaceBook page.
